Shirodhara is a distinctive treatment procedure based in Ayurveda therapy. The word Shirodhara is derived from the Sanskrit language which means Shiro = Head and Dhara = Flow. The treatment involves gentle pouring of oils and liquids over from the head, into the forehead. The liquids can be oil, milk, buttermilk, coconut water and pure water depends upon what is being treated.
